Take grinned. "Thank you, love." he said lightly, then tore off a piece of meat and dropped it next to her. "You need to eat so your milk will be good for the puppies," he said, then looked down at them. The female, Calypso, was a ginger color with white and grey paws. And one of the males, Hayazo, looked more like his father. He was a dark grey with hints of a mane running down his back. He turned away, then looked back and waved his tail madly. "Eclipse! Calypso has opened her eyes!"

Everything was so bright. Why was it bright? Calypso scrunched her nose against the brightness of it all. And the heat she had been sleeping near for so long, was a large creature whom she knew was her mother. "Mother?" she squeaked, then growled in suprise at the noise. It wasn't a menacing growl, more like a high-pitched whine.
