Mr. Grey took in the features oof both equines and their Axia. One a canine, the other...what he assumed was a feline. He'd never seen anything like it before, that was for sure. He noted their names, including the stallion's. He didn't seem to be of any threat, especially with the added note after his name. He also noted that the mare, Gaia, was very tense. She seemed almost frightened of the two males. Surely she had been around stallions before. Sure, the grey stag had heard about rebel mare herds consisting only of females, but he didn't think that they were real. How could mares survive without a stallion to protect them and provide them with children? It was absurd.
Gosselin hadn't been paying any attention to the conversation. No, she was too busy diggin in the ground for any insects that she could find. Her large claws easily tore at the compacted dirt, and she was soon chomping on some chewy worms. The coy voice of a feline caught her attention, however, and she stood up on her hind legs, just under the smaller stallion's withers, eying the creature that had spoken. It was cute and spotted. The bear sniffed at it, making sure not to touch the stallion, and made a small noise at it, as if to say "Now what is this?"
The Percheron watched his Axian intently, but he knew that she could defend herself if need be. He returned his attention to the conversation and smiled warmly."Yes, well in that case, Gaia, I do believe you're in need of a home. I was thinking of taking up residence nearby. It's quite lovely, and I think you would find it quite wonderful," he said, holding back his more aggressive side. He knew that the small male had no intention of claiming this mare, but he was ever on his guard.
