Take was returning from hunting, as he saw his now 4 month old daughter run out. "Daddy, daddy!" she squealed, and danced around him in a circle. Hayazo, a bit slower coming out, blinked his eyes. "Is there food?" he asked with a tilt of his head. Take gave a laugh as he swung the mule deer on to the grassy floor in front of the den. Hayazo was blind in one eye, not a bad disability but still it hurt Take a bit all the same. "Dig in," he said to the two pups and called to Eclipse and Ryu, "I'm back! I brought home some food!" he sat down and waited. He would eat what they left behind and then catch something for himself later.

Calypso eagerly buried her muzzle into the warm meat, chewing away. She had been happy when she was able to eat real meat, not the stuff Mother coughed up for her. She loved her parents, but her father could be a bit overprotective at points. Like he had said they wouldn't be able to learn how to hunt until they were 6 months. When she had eaten all she could manage she rolled on her back, belly exposed to the sunlight. Her eyes fluttered shut, and she drifted into a light sleep.

Hayazo took his time eating the deer. He was much more careful and meticoulous then his sister, always taking his time. He saw her sprawled out in the sunlight, in the weak winter heat. There wasn't snow on the gound, but that would most likely change soon. Finally he was finished, he didn't eat his fill but enough to saitate him. He pounced playfully on Calypso, who swatted him away with a paw before rolling over and falling back to sleep. He sat down with a grunt and hoped Ryu and Mother would come out soon.
