The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

Plague nodded at their agreeance with an easy smile, although worry constantly tugged at his mind for Kimani and the pups, she would be able to handle everything, even some unforeseen things. Besides, she would call and at a moments notice, he would be there, loving and ready to die for every little life born to them. He worried for not only his pups, but all the pups and all the souls that resided at Andere, his loyal faithfuls that stayed relatively drama free and were steadily active in all pack duties. He was due for pack hunt for some time, but would reply on hunting parties instead of the involvement of the whole pack, to help them keep everyone safe and secure. With a decisive, single nod, he tilted his head back and gave a short but bold call to a single wolf, his faithful Zeta, Baroq whom already had newborns in his care and he asked about hunts. He himself had offered to go at a moments notice and probably would have gone, except they needed the wolf power for success.

Baroq should be here shortly, he is the pack Zeta and a long time pack member.

It would help, no doubt, for them to have a ranked wolf with them, someone Plague trusted well and he knew Baroq’s size and strength would be useful in not only bringing down large prey, but dragging it back. Plague let his rump meet the ground and waited, he knew the brute was eager and awaiting his call, both for loyalty and for his own mate. He wouldn’t be long, as his den was only a mile or two from this very spot. Plague had memorised its specific location – not that it was really needed due to scents and all, but it might be useful later- after an attack from a rogue wolf had happened there. It had put Plague no high alert and he’d been roaming from border to border ever since, but he guessed he’d probably go find a shady glen to have a good long sleep in and be woken up by a returning hunting party.

Hopefully a successful party. For all their sakes.

Ebon limbs carried him efficiently across the forest floor, carrying him closer to the source of Plague’s call, he had immediately responded and a quick fare-be-well to his mate and pups. He smiled as he ran, still picturing them only just coming back to reality to put on the brakes and slide to a nearly prefect halt to come a little too close for comfort to Plague, pelts almost touching, luckily they were pretty good buddies already. He smiled sheepishly and shrugged, stepping one huge step back and finally turning to observe the ladies. He smiled briefly and then spoke up, his tail rising to Zeta, wavering there.

Nice to meet you ladies, I’m Baroq ,what are your names?

Although every fibre of his being wanted to burst in an all out sprint to the plateau where pretty was most bountiful, he clamed himself, appearing gentleman like, not that he wasn’t a gentleman, but he was not known to hang around many other faes other than his own mate and daughter and if you took the time to earn his trust and listen to his past, you’d soon understand why he distanced himself. It almost seemed silly to be introducing each other, but names would be needed, especially if he were to direct each one of them on the hunt field, running at full blast. After they had introduced themselves, nothing one was blind and was obviously staying behind, he nodded decisively and spoke up, his smoky voice quiet, but clear.

Ladies first.
