During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

I slipped in to the darkness of night like an obscurity. Each of my movements were silent and deadly, I was never anything more than a breath of wind, and a cold one at that. My honey pelt seemed to soak up the Cimmerian shade, turning bleaker the further I moved in to the forest. Once someone had said it was always dark in this little paradise, and that had just been a further convenience. Not only that, but the lands were practically empty. Excusing Paranoia, Hong Kong.. Or had it been King Kong? And that other big white demon, a part from that it was desolated. This was most definitely reassuring, so when I ran in to the crystal nymph a couple of nights ago on a hunting trip, I couldn’t help but find myself compelled to find out more. That was exactly what I had done, too, and it was no easy matter as it turned out. Paranoia was a very set, distrustful little thing. Her silly brother slowed things down with my progress, but in the end I knew she would cave in to the common weakness lust created. So we’d spent the night together, talking in between other enjoyable things. Not my best, but not easy to dismiss either. It was probably her power that made her so attractive, I admitted to myself later. That was not the end of the story though.

She had told me of Munashii Gekko, describing it’s dark features and how she was returning there now from a long trip. It wasn’t usually within me to ask a nymph to stay another night with me, unless I had a good reason. She didn’t seem too quick to disperse either, so we spent more time together and I learnt more in exchange for sin. I could only grin at the memory and suppress a delighted shudder.
Paranoia was sure that there would either be a new leader, that’s where Kong came in to it, or an empty pack. It seemed the later had been the opted choice from my current rummaging, but I was still curious. She had also said that her mind was at war, something I did once understand. Running a pack was a stressful concept, and she’d already said she felt as though she had failed once. I guess I had a smooth tongue when I came to that sort of thing (haha, and in so many ways was it smooth), so eventually I persuaded her in to inviting me over the boarders to explore the place.

When I’d first arrived, the most sudden and alerting smell was that of a challenger. It had been sent out around the time I’d been with the nymph, so that only lead me on to wondering if she had indeed lost the pack. The further I went, the more familiar the smell became and I relaxed a little in to my own mist of pleasure that was beginning to wrap around me.
After getting the invite, I spoke a little more to the crystal alphess, and eventually she cracked at the seams and dripped all of her emotions out. We spoke all night, and I acted as best I could to keep the distaste off my face when she mentioned a few things - feeling weak, helpless, needy. I lumped it in to her being mortal and unable to care for the land like it should have been looked after, and I told her this quite clearly. Instead of the usual reaction I got when fools heard what I had to say, she actually accepted this like a mouthful of beautiful blood and swallowed. I’d pretty much talked her in to giving me the lands, and it was a glorious moment.

Munashii Gekko, it seems you have a new leader now. I felt my grin stretch wider and I slid in to the opening, allowing the moonlight to pool across my pelt. I was not flawless, and I found myself to be the only unusual one around these lands. It was a little disconcerting knowing there wasn’t any other vampires in the immediate area, but I knew I’d be able to draw them out slowly. We lived at night and rested during the day, but I was more than certain that I had a plan for this place.
With a sombre nod of my head, I swept my cold blues around the new land, taking in the thick land tastefully. This Blossom Forest place hadn’t seen what a real pack could do just yet, and I was going to show them exactly what we were capable of. I was the demon of the lands, and I’d already decided I wouldn’t kick any of the previous occupants out if they wished to stay.. Only because they’d make useful day sentries. Much like the bullshit that was spread, we did actually keep out of the light as much as possible. Hence why I found these lands almost too good to be true.

Here I would form a pack, a nest, a coven of vampire wolves like myself. We’d wield to no one, and we’d be the strongest, most feared nest around. I bared my fangs and raised my hackles at this pleasant thought and giggled out loud. We would collect the nightwalkers and some daywalkers, too, so we’d have wolves patrolling at all hours - I’d heard of the stupid strays that wandered in unwelcome, only to be sent out or slaughtered. It also occurred to me that we’d have a whole forest of wolves to drink from, so it was perfect. I didn’t want to spend my time wasting away, hunting stupid animals like these stompers did. We’d only take the pure thing, like real wolves should; I wasn’t a cannibal, because the wolves I’d killed and eaten were as far from vampires as I was from bambi.. Which was pretty far considering I didn’t even eat deer.

Eating habits weren’t really of my concern as I would have it be right now.
Before I had taken up the crystal nymph’s offer I’d eaten - One nymph would be found missing sooner or later, and I did consider the shock anyone would have if they found her body. I’d done the classic thing and cleared her throat out, literally, and lapped up the red liquid that I lived longingly for. She didn’t live for much anymore, and it was almost a pity I’d wasted such a pretty little body like that. The nymph was too squeamish anyway once she figured what my real intentions were. My hoax act of physical attraction was what really did make all my victims relax. Silly critters, all of them.
I regarded my pelt with blue slits at this point, recognising the fact I had a light spray of her blood over my usually off-white, honey pelt. Good, that would just further show I wasn’t one to be messed with.

With one final breath I rose my banner over my spine and threw my skull back in a chilling howl that would make anyone not in their right mind cower. I spun my words out through the dark lands, inviting anyone game enough to come and see if I found them worthy enough to join my new.. Family. It continued effortlessly for a minute or two, like claws on a chalkboard before I concluded with a deep, chest rumbling burst of laughter.

This wasn’t going to be like every other ordinary pack. Of that I was more than sure.
