The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

The rain patters down with extreme force, soaking the vixen to her very core. She is not cold , but simply wet. Within mere moments of being subjected to the downpour, she is a sopping mess, but still she sits, not moving an inch. She doesn't care if the alpha chooses to not come and fetch the new member in such a storm, but still she remains at the border. She will wait until a member comes to welcome her, even if it takes hours, days or even months. Lyric would remain here until her death, for this is the pack she had chosen, so unless the one in charge told her that she was not welcome, she was not going to leave, it was simply her loyal stubborness speaking. Such attributes could be counted as good or bad in a wolf, but in all honestly, the gray bruja didn't really give it a second thought, or a first one, for that matter, as she did not spend her time idly pondering the many facets of her personality.

Her pile of squirrel was beginng to get soaked. She wryly considered sitting on them, but since they were already wet, and the ground wasn't dry, she quickly dissmissed the thought. The howling of the wind as it tore through the trees was a pleasant sound to Lyric's ears. Something about the haunting wildness to it made her want to add her own song to the mix, but she held back, not wanting to seem impertant and rude. Her face was not unreadable, but fairly devoid of emotion, not at all an open book. She never went through great pains to hide what she was thinking, but she was not about to go spilling her feelings out to anyone, as it hardly made sense to allow them such a vital key to your weaknesses.

She sat for a few moments before she thought she scented another wolf, but in the rain, she couldn't be sure. The minx peered into the undergrowth where the cologone was coming from, but saw nothing at first. She strained her chocolate orbs, and thought she saw an indisinct outline forming. Lyric didn't do anything much save for look at it, not in a dominant way at all, since if her eyes weren't playing tricks on her, it was probably the alpha, but in a curious/confirming sort of way. When the dark illusion moved, she could clearly make out another wolf, so she let her black-tipped auds slick back against her skull. Her tail, which had curled itself between her legs, gave a few appeasing wags. He came out of the bushes to sit a couple of feet a way from her, and there was no doubt that he was the king. His very bearing screamed dominace. His face was impossible for her to read as he sat, silently inspecting her. He leaned forward to sniff her former victims, who, although wet, were still a fine enough meal. She thought it a good enough sign that he had not driven her away yet, so she was content to sit silently until his scrutiny was over.

After a moment or so, he spoke, his tones as kingly as his appearance. 'Submit to join Andere.' She complied, of course, lowering herself to the ground and rolling over to expose her throat and stomach. She evaluated herself, amazed to find her muscles relaxed instead of tensed, and her mind to be at-ease rather than nervous. She remained in her completely submissive posture until he spoke again. Her muscles bunched and ripplied as she rolled to her paws, lean, cream colored limbs bringing her upright. She replied to the alpha, now named Plague's, question, her voice melodious and low, like the cooing of a dove.

"I was once called Lyric, so I believe that title shall suffice."

She kept her form submissive and respectful, not wanting to offend her new king, but let her facial expression soften up in response to his smile.
