Snow. It has always been her absolute favourite part of winter, minus the coldness of it, but since there is none of it, there is nothing to be joyful of this season. The floods still have had their impact on the flooded, slightly frozen ground (that is melting as we speak) and the sky is a dull colour of grey. The sun is weak with the extensive cloud cover, and it is in general a very dreary season. Solaris' good mood is only dampened by it. With snow, perhaps she may be more content – alas, whenever she uses her water element to make it flurry a bit, it simply melts on the tip of her nose. Now, she can always manipulate the snowflakes so that they are everlasting, but there is no fun in that. If it cannot be natural, then she would rather it not happen at all.
She wrinkles her nose in distaste, looking at the ground that seems to just emit bad feelings. It is as if Rencor himself is down there! And to think that today, she may just even receive his element… the thought makes her shudder. Perhaps not, though, seeing as there is always Elyria. If Solaris can have her way though, she will let Fate take care of it all, as well as Delphinium. She has put her entire faith in both of them now that she has both her memories back plus a few more. She smiles as she thinks of Broken Dreams and how she has found a light in the darkness. She fears not falling anymore because she knows that he will catch her.
She leans her sand-coloured body against the gate of Delphinium’s fence, her pale tail flicking back and forth over her darker hocks. Though the mood of this winter is rather dull and despondent, it is still very halcyon; few birds cry overhead and her thoughts are sailing on calm waters.
