During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

My paws carried my petite frame across the midnight terra. I was following his distinct aroma which to me was as clear as the days sun. I had followed it to the border of what seemed to be a packland. He was a King....interesting. My mind began to wonder on what exactly this place would be made up of. Monsters, like me? I knew for a fact, well almost for a fact, that he was like me. Not crazy not demented or twisted. We just simply had discovered a true power that could enhance our already keen abilities. We could run faster, smell farther, hear better. We where simply the reapers of the night. I liked the term, soul sucker.

So I stood, waiting on the border patiently. My rump touched the dewed ground under me, my tail wrapping around my side. The moon danced around the lush terra, and in a way I felt rather at home. I found this feeling...odd. My brilliant teals watched every shadow around me. I was careful like that, even more so when I was out of my element. I didn't know what exactly I was going to stumble up on here, but I damn sure knew it probably wouldn't be friendly. I shifted the weight of my petite frame and exhaled.

So there I sat, waiting patiently for someone or something to show up. I was far from in a submitting pose, but hell was I really here to join? Since the departure of my alpha, Sidorio, I had been a loner. Which, don't get me wrong, I kind of enjoyed. Yet, I liked having a safe spot that was pitch black and comfy to sleep the rays away. The cave was nice, but to many weirdos and pervs came around trying to get at my tail. Of course, none really left the cave after our encounters. Eeh maybe instead of it being called the cavern of secrets it should be called Sookie's cavern of souls.

I giggled at the thought, while I waited.
