William Blanshard was on the 1881 census in Wood Hall, Hemingbrough RD, with Mary, and children John, Alice, Thomas, and Ada aged 11 born Hemingbrough. William was an Ag lab, aged 49, born Eastrington.
On the 1891 census William Blanchard was in Hemingbrough, with Ann, and just two children: Ada, aged 21 born Woodall, and son Tom W, aged 8. William was a farm labourer, aged born Cavile (this is in Eastrington).
Although the surname is spelt slightly differently, and there is a slight discrepancy in his age, these two Williams are the same man, as the birthplace of Eastrington and a daughter named Ada, aged 11 then 21 in successive censuses, clinches it, I think.
If Tom W. was a son by William's second marriage to Ann, then it must have been very late for her (54) as she claims to be 62 on the 1891 census!
