aspirin and flu

Hi James,
You've answered a bunch of my questions lately, and please forgive me as I have one more
We have a classic flu going through our family. Along with the fever my kids have a bad headache. We always like to use the wintergreen or marjoram essential oil - a drop rubbed into the temples - for headaches. But I'm not sure if that's okay since children, flu, and aspirin don't mix. Since the wintergreen is in the aspirin family, can we use it? Marjoram?
