Once again, Calypso found herself on a path where she had no clue where she was destined. That was fine with her, she liked it when her future was a mystery, it made it worth more to her. That way it her life would never be dull. The only thing that she knew, was that she looking for the right pack to join, again. Before she could get accepted at Abrendot, the alpha left the pack, and rumors had it joined another. The fea didn’t care much for rumors, usually they were all false anyways, what good were they? Oh yeah, they brought entertainment she reminded herself with a smile of sarcasm. The main reason she was looking to join a pack was because she had gotten used to others during her short stay at Abrendot. Those old feelings had swept right back into her. Practically yelling at her that she needed to be in a pack again. For awhile she was able to ignore it, turning back to the life of a loner, but the loneliness she found was tearing at her insanity. Normally she liked solitary time, but not when it got to insanity…No, she saw what that could do to wolves. Calypso doubted she would turn into one of those wolves who talked to themselves, or to the air around them like someone was there, but she’d rather not take a chance on that. Besides, pack life could be exciting and maybe even dangerous. So, that was what made up her mind really. Now, she was looking for a place that was similar to the first pack she came to here, but she wasn’t going to be too picky.

Her multi-colored shades of tan and dark brown pelt moved through no man territory. She found herself going through some of the packs. The first one held a new alpha, but no members, and that wasn’t a pack she was looking for. She wanted one that held members and a history. Another one had a alpha pair, with recent pups, but most scents was stale. This pack was barely hanging on it seemed, and so she kept moving. She needed somewhere that thrived, that held power, and yet still needed more to keep it protected. The next one she breezed on by without stopping, she knew Abrendot wasn’t meant for her now. Then came one with a alphess, apparently no alpha male, with recent pups. For awhile she remained paused at the border, allowing her scent detector to collect any extra information. Not many wolves lived here it seemed, just a decent amount, and that was something she was looking for. Now that she ready what she wanted about the pack, she raised her dark aqua orbs to access the territory. She wanted to know what kind of conditions she would be living in.

The forest trees were tall, the leaves when in summer, must offer plenty of shade. For now it just made the place seem dark and cold, like it was hiding something. The scent of death was heavy in the air, but it didn’t scare her away, instead she found herself breathing it in deeper to see how recent it was. From the carcass strewing the border, in silent warning, they weren’t afraid to defend their borders. Good, so far she was likening what this pack was telling her about the wolves living here. Looking up she saw birds, and they sure were squawking like they were flying from hunters. It seemed this forest was full of predators, and with her instincts, she was sure she would fit in here. It was like the whole place was daring her, was she worthy? She found herself padding closer to the border, and allowed her multi-hued brown and red colored body to lower itself right at the edge. She didn't completely submit yet, just held her body upon the ground, for nobody was around. Within the edge, she was showing that she wasn’t afraid, whether it was a smart move or not. At that moment, it didn’t really matter, just as much as to them, she was proving it to herself that she was worthy. Yet, she didn’t cross it, which would cause them to defend their borders. No howl came from her, she was patient enough to wait for them to come to her. All she could do now, was wait and see what would happen.
