The meadow, where she lived, was so frightening with all the tall horses that could probably squash her if they really wanted to. At least here, she fit in – she could look others in the eye. That was, whenever she got around to actually talking to them. Despite her parent’s friendliness, the bay girl was quite shy when it came to saying hello.
Perhaps that was why apprehension tickles the back of her legs when the colt approaches her – and it is only then that she realizes that there was another filly close by the entire time. The moment passes soon enough and she introduces herself, finally. “I’m Swann.” Her voice is choppy but undeniably sweet. Not a fact that she was particularly aware of but she would have felt even more embarrassed if she had known. The others seemed rather sure of themselves and she wanted to be like that too.
With her next intake of air, she summons some courage and holds herself proudly as she looks back at the girl, curious as to what sort of game she might have thought up. “What kind of game?” The bay filly asks, brightening up at the mere idea.
