Island Resort
The herdland of Island Resort is a hard to find island located under the jurisdiction of the Light Kingdom. The weather is warm and kind, perfect with protection from the worst weather on one side and a playful surf on the other. Plant life is abundant here and there is a hidden sand bar leading to the island only long-time residents would know exists.
This land is closed. No herds can live here.

 | For much of his time in the Dewdrop Gates, herds had been essentially nonexistent. For a while, they had held no significance because even if a herd did stop by from time to time, they would not be there for long, and there was not much help they could offer each other. However, in recent travels between the meadow and the Gates he had seem some herds beginning to gather in the lands beneath the Gates, and he hoped he might be able to create some kind of relationship with them. He left the Gates with the diplomat Liberi by his side, a mare who was much more skilled with talking than he was, and he was glad to have her with him.
He stopped first by Island Resort, the closest herd land to the kingdom, and from what Sariel could gather, the largest of the herds in the light lands, possibly even in Beqanna. He knew that some horses were just more suited for a herd than a kingdom, but he wished to form a good relationship with the herd, offering each other support in times of crisis, and to let the horses know that they were invited to participate in any kingdom activities.
Sariel held a lot of stock in the history of these lands, and he was hoping to share that with the rest of the Gates and the herd lands if they chose to come. He hoped the story telling event would bring everyone together, allowing them to share their knowledge of the history of the lights, and he hoped that the herd lands might be interested in participating as well. They all shared this land and he hoped they could develop a friendship over time. He entered the land and waited, certain the lead stallion would arrive soon to see what his business was here.
