Staring at the ceiling not say a peep.
Hoping and praying that i'll fall asleep.
Because in this pre-slumber i sit and i think.
Letting my mind wander, puching it to the brink.
Thinking of "what if's" and "what could be"
False hopes and dreams i'll forever wait to see.
But still i lay here, in my darkend room.
Thoughts of her in the back of mind still loom.
I'll be somebody i tell myself, someday she will see.
How much i try, and how much she means to me..
Its almost midnight and i have to close my eyes.
Before these thoughts become actual tears and cries.
One last thought comes to mind before i depart.
"Tomorrow is a new day, but she will still have my heart". Replies:
