"let's get it on!" IP: 75.134.111.212 Posted on May 7, 2011 at 10:46:25 by Graceling & Lonan & Aulay
There's no point in being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes.
There were others here already amongst the shade trees as they watched and cheered on their competitors. There were so many down there amongst the pit, but each match would be done in pairs. She stood at the edge of the trees, her sister and brother at each side as they hide beneath her wings. Lonan was golden with wings while Aulay was the same coloring as herself only the poor child hadn’t been gifted with wings. Aulay would be learning battle maneuvers and tact while Lonan would be learning to fly with abandon. She lipped both their fuzzy manes, her tall and lean body still displaying her own kinds of childishness as she slowly grew into a year old body.
She tossed her forelock from her face, her dark eyes suddenly intent on finding the almost white body below that was her father. When she found him, there was shock, where were his wings? And after another quiet moment she saw that any one else that was mythical were also missing things from their bodies. She smiled a bit, even noting that they were all within a perfect age range for fighting. She’d never seen her father look so young. She laughed then, looking down at Lonan and then Aulay. “Look at our father! He is the white there amongst them all.” She lowered her head, nudging them in the direction he was until their eyes light up and they saw him. “Go Father!” Aulay’s young voice rang out across the battle clashes. Lonan’s voice was usually much softer but today it rang out with a fervor. “You can do it Daddy!” Her wings fluttered at her sides and both young bodies quivered in excitement.
She smiled, laughing a bit before her own voice rang from her lips. “Yay Wardance!” She flaps her wings once, her own excitement bubbling out and over. Then she turns looking for the red cardinal mare that was Eiffel and her dark eyes soon found her. “Look children, look for the red mare. She is ours too. We must cheer them both on. Eiffel is her name.” She can see the red feather hanging from Anny’s mane in her mind and with a bit louder bellow she cheered for the mare-child. “Go Eiffel! Kick in him to the ground!” There is a bit of battle lust in her as she cheers for the mare and then the quiet voices of Lonan and Aulay both add to the cheering. “Go Eiffel!” “You can do it Eiffel!” Both of their voices ringing out to hopefully carry to both of their Desert candidates.
