The brute continued running he heard his mate’s calls and his eyes landed on the deer she had spotted. He altered his course and picked up speed, his breath exhaling loudly with each strong landing on his front paws. The large mostly wolf brute was quickly gaining on the injured deer, but Alli made it to him first. He figured her lunge would land, and the deer would soon be on the ground but instead as he ended up behind her she was kicked leaving Siege to leap her body and snarling quite viciously. Now he was angry, much more than before. His eyes flashed and seemed to glow as he ran around the limping deer and snapped out at one of its front legs. He caught it on his second try sending the deer sprawling across the ground and tumbling around. He was still quickly on it though and grabbed its neck though it’s flailing was still insistant. It was a stubborn little bugger that was for sure, but siege was going to feed his family.
The three pups were still running after their parents when the trio saw their mom sprawl across the ground when she was kicked by the deer. Sam felt the worst. If he just would have waited his mom probably wouldn’t have gotten kicked. Oki snarled as she was kicked, wanting to kill that stupid thing himself for harming even a small hair on his mother’s body. However, revenge was served by his father very quickly as the deer was sent flying it’s self leaving the rest of the herd charging onward without it.
Kai, like her sister gasped when their mother was sent flying. The tri-colored pup would have ran after her but Hayabusa’s voice came out from behind her as Ume squealed as well. She paused whimpering. She understood now why her father wanted to teach them to hunt for themselves. It was probably really hard to hunt like this every single day, twice a day…
