Hi Android,

Hiccups are from spasming of the diaphragm. It sounds like something he eats is either irritating the diaphragm, or more likely he has a hiatal hernia. Since the stomach is pushing up through the diaphragm in a hiatal hernia the passage of food through the squeezed portion of the stomach could irritate the diaphragm. He should get checked to see if it a hiatal hernia.
