Six months ago, a fire had taken place in one of the small out buildings at Dead End Ranch. In the hot summer sun, the fire had quickly spread before it could be contained. Many of the buildings had been damaged in this blaze. No one was harmed in the fire, though. The ranch had been forced to shut down while the cause of the fire was investigated and the buildings were repaired. The kids who came to Dead End Ranch were all sent to different places depending on why they were at the ranch in the first place. Those who were there for smaller less violent acts were sent to group homes while those who were more dangerous were sent to either jails or juvenile halls around the area until things could be rebuilt.
Though, this was the last thing that anyone wanted, it was what had to be done. The repairs were done with the utmost haste and everything was now ship shape once more. The cause of the fire had been ruled as accidental, since it was said that a wire in the building had shorted out. Now, the kids were being welcomed back with open arms. The original owner of the ranch has returned after taking a year to sort out some things in her own life. Her biggest hope is that she can go back to helping the kids to learn to trust again, to help them become individuals who will be welcomed in society instead of becoming outcasts.
So, now the kids begin crowding in once again. It seems like new ones show up just about once a week at least, sometimes more often. And every time it is more or less the same. A cop car will pull up into the drive and the guard on the gate will let them in. Once inside the gate will be shut immediately and that teen will be stuck here until the extent of their sentence is over. Though, this place has branched out to help those who just desperately need a second chance due to trauma as well. No longer is it only for hardened criminals. At first, the past of these teens is unknown to all aside from the staff who greets them. Though, their present and futures are what will go down in history. Are you ready to begin your story?
