The cougar looked at the river with distaste. He was one of those cats. Some would add him to that group of, disklike water much. It was true, besides avoiding it most of his life he didnt know if he could even swim. Taking a few steps forward he approached cautiously. If this was what he needed to do he would do it. His paws touched the water and he shivered from the cold and nervousness. He walked in slowly one step at a time, feeling the water pull him upward. He pushed himself surely off the ground and scrambled to keep himself upright as he paddled across. It may not be pretty but he was managing better then he had hoped. At least he was not sinking.
"I would say it is easily passable for almost any creature. Perhaps something very small would have a hard time. But anything the sixe of me and bigger would have no problem. Enless of course they wouldnt swim" He said with a grin, swimming back to the shore and looked up at his new adopted parent.
