Playground

Parents do not fear; your children are safe in the Playground. A benevolent fairy watches over young colts and fillies who come to frolic here. The trees are ancient things, and widely spaced (excellent for tag) and there are several low logs to leap over and many ponds and thickets full of wonder for the little ones. Come play and form friendships that will last a lifetime.

are you ready, are hanging on the edge of your seat?
out of the doorway the bulltets rip, repeating the sound of the beat

The innocence these two held is enough to give someone a cavity. The way they bounce and play in the mud without a care in the world. They would indeed look back on these days and wish to be that young again, wish to hold onto the youth and energy. Fortunately, Ratchet was not one to worry about growing older. He took things as they came. Each day was beautiful, something new. A chance to find things that were left undiscovered, to look beneath every unturned rock (given that his attention span calls for such).

He laughs, oh how he laughs, darting around her, in and out of the mud puddle as he circles her. Mud was everywhere, little flecks now spotted his coat like pepper. He looks at Galil, his face also splashed with mud. He grins at the sight of her, but before he could speak, she falls onto her side. His smile fades, "Galil! Oh no, are you okay? I'm sorry if I made you fall." despite the boy's foolish nature and silly antics, he has a big heart. He worries (even for a split second) whenever she falls. Gingerly, he steps closer to nudge her gently with his velvety muzzle, but she begins to roll before he gets the chance. He begins to laugh again.

As she rises, he tames his laughter once more. "Well now I feel left out!" he jokingly pouts, and promptly lowers himself to the ground to paint himself with mud as well. When he rose, he looked more like a pinto than ever before. His mother would have thrown a fit if she saw him now, but being that she was nowhere to be found…no harm, no foul. It was indeed quite heartbreaking in a sense, this little boy. He had no idea how truly heart-wrenching his story could be. However, it did not sadden him, as much as others might find it tragic. It did a little, but the boy was too carefree, too caught up in his own world to worry much. He never sought out pity, nor did he intend to spread sadness to those around him. Blissfully unaware of how truly lost he was, how far he was from his mother and father with no recollection of how he ended up here.

When she throws the idea of following her to the orange grove, he looks puzzled once more. He did like the sounds of those oranges, Galil did say they were delicious and he trusted his newfound friend's opinion. "Okay! Well…where is your home, then? How do we get there?!" always eager for an adventure, his eyes showed his cravings for it. The boy loved everything he saw in this world so far, and was all too excited to continue his travels within it. It was a big world, too big for him to fathom at this age. He too did not take into consideration the complications the duo might cause with this plan, but why should they worry?

{we can carry this into Orange Country from here if you want :D}
