One of the most tricky things in editing I've found is the transition between scenes. To go from one scene to another while feeling right is tricky.
I've picked up on a few techniques from watching other films, but would love to hear about the theories behind it and the techniques (like using an exterior establishing shot, cutting from a person to an inanimate object and then cutting/tracking to the actor or having the actor come in).
Is there a resource online that talks about this? I can't find anything! Replies: There have been no replies.
