The gorgeous male needed time to think. His four other brothers were sleeping. Lancelot had been woken as Moses, his father, had left them. Lancelot hadn't wanted his father to leave them, had begged Moses to stay, but his father had resisted and left anyway. Now Lancelot would not see his father for a year. And by that time, he and his brothers had to have found mates, and homes. And they would have to split up. The blonde male sighed very unhappily, he would hate leaving his brothers. Their love and jokes were what kept him going through the days. Even Valiant, that arrogant show off, Lancelot still loved him even though he was simply a pig sometimes. Valiant would grow out of it though, someday. They were only young after all. Their third birthday had been last month.

Lancelot continued to walk, listening to the wind howling and creatures rustling around him. The beautiful boy shook out his honey-gold fur and his baby-blue eyes searched the dark trees curiously. Lancelot's body was slim, lean and muscled. He was tall and streamlined with thick blonde fur and a slender, chiseled face. The most handsome of his family, he really was an eye catcher. He had no doubt about finding a mate. Lancelot was fair, and kind, though where he came from women were treated with little respect. Love wasn't in it when a male from his land found a mate, although he did believe strongly that his father had loved his mother. Lancelot was a nice male, but he would easily have a couple of mates and not think twice about it. He didn't know much about feelings. But he did know, that having lots of females around him made him happy. He didn't stop to think about what the females would be thinking, most probably just wanting him for themselves.

He wound his way along the riverside, and suddenly caught the smell of the female he had met yesterday. Bridgette, that was what she was called. Lancelot smiled and ran in her direction, his velvet nose to the ground. The golden boy soon saw a huge group of familiar creatures, slumbering near a woken fire. He noticed two more had joined the group, a pup, and a dragon. Dragon? He thought, almost exclaiming in surprise. He stared at the beast and then started searching for Bridgette. He turned to his left, and noticed her walking away with another white wolf. He had a pang in his chest and hoped the other wolf wasn't a male. He crept up behind and then realised the other wolf was a female. Sighing in relief, he swiftly approached, walking around so he faced Bridgette. "Hello again". he spoke angelically, softly, his voice no more than a murmur. "I see another pup, and a dragon have joined your group. And who is this?" he gave her a dashing smile, and then turned to wink at the other female, Huntress, his blue eyes dancing. He looked back at the group of her half-asleep companions. "Where are you headed?"
