Reemer nodded to the mare, no, the filly really, before he went into battle mode, assessing her every detail, determined to dominate. Though she was slightly smaller, younger, the stallion was not one to under estimate, at a time like this. Of course it wasn't real, a game, but he still took it seriously, as if his life depended on it. He really got into it.
With a toss of his chocolatey brown head the first move was decided, and started to charge, as though his intent was to ram into her, toppling her over if she gave no resistance. But just seconds before what would be impact, he unfurled his wings, beating the air hard, rising over her, so that only his legs were accessable from the height he was. Just as quickly as he was airborn he has cupping his wings so that he was moving down, landing only feet behind her, stumbling slightly when his full weight touched down. But he didn't let this phase him, and he started circling her, as though he was a predator, waiting to strike.
This continued for long seconds, while he decided which angle to attack. Side would be optimum, but it was an obvious choice, an easy one. But he had now time to waste or ponder, for he knew with each second thinking he was giving her time to formulate her own plan. Without warning he changed from circling to charging, straight into her shoulder, where his head made impact with a loud slap. The attack was just meant to make her loose footing, not really do any damage. His breathing heavy, he took a step back. |
