Serafina had been unusually quick to judge her companion, her fears in losing the forested beach land had caused her to react prematurely and while she was guilty of the cruel tone that laced her usually beatific voice, the point still stood. Whatever monster laid beneath that ebony flesh had far more control over the female then perhaps she would have liked to admit. That need for destruction, on equine or earth, was unnecessary and clearly quite out of control. It concerned Serafina simply because of the nature of her element. If Serafina should have been afraid, she wasn't but she was precautious, trying not to overstep her boundaries too much. She had heard the almost submissive sound within the female's voice, clearly not wishing to start any kind of confrontation and it helped to sooth the girl's uncharacteristic flare of anger. The two were Senate members of the South, cursed to forever being interwoven in their efforts to expand and flourish their kingdoms. It would have been a very poor move to make an enemy of Tick Tock so soon and so, with careful steps Serafina moved closer, making a point to still those emotions that had claimed her till she returned to a more diplomatic state.

The angelic girl's voice was soft when she finally felt herself prepared to speak, turning compassionate and kind in nature, "It's not necessarily the fact that the grass would die so much as the fact that you felt the need to do either." Her stormy eyes were intent upon Tick Tock, trying to judge the sort of reaction she would receive. It was incredibly rude of her to point out this lack of control when she had never had to contend with what Tick Tock was going through. Her attention shifted, her cranium slowly descending towards the charred blades and with a gentle touch the girl nosed those blackened patches, a soft puff of air leaving her nose and the scent of destruction taunted her. The buckskin sighed softly, her head withdrawing to eye the circle about them. "Such a pity." She mused in a soft whisper. Serafina was not enough of a fool to expect her simple blades of grass and her flowers to last an eternity. Winter was coming soon but earth's constant process of continual re-growth was certainly no reason alone to be careless with their elemental gifts. She would have liked to explain this to her companion, to discuss why she had be so terribly upset but for a moment she was at a loss on how to do so without seeming…superior. After all, she wasn't attempting to seem better then Tick Tock, certainly she had her own terrible faults.

She was hesitant to continue, careful to ensure each word was spoken correctly with the right sort of meaning. "I'm sorry, for the way I replied earlier. It's just…" Serafina paused, a cross sort of look filling her features. "Just because the earth dies on its own and re-grows on its own isn't a reason to respect it any less." It was the only sort of wisdom that Serafina could impact upon her companion; she had learned long ago that the earth, even without the earthen God, was quite capable of retaliating all on its own.
