Unlike her mate Thunderbird hadn’t been up to anything all too interesting. The majority of her days were spent roaming around mumbling under her breath about how her family had all seemed to wander off. It wasn’t a total shock to her figuring she’d gotten used to family member’s disappearing when she was still a wee pup – starting with her father, Sirius. That darned collie had left her mother terribly heartbroken and she’d grown up never understanding just why Silvergaze had been so fond of him in the first place. How great could he have been if he up and abandoned them?

Then again… that wasn’t entirely fair to say now, was it? Michangel had been gone for a long time and she didn’t think any less of him. The only negative feeling towards the brute she had was worry. Thunderbird was accustomed to her mate’s wanderings but for this long? Something had to be wrong. She’d scoured the mountain looking for him, tiring time and time again only to retreat back into familiar territory and hope that Michangel found his own way home.

Once in a while Thunderbird would see Silvergaze from afar, but besides that she was dreadfully lonely. Although she could have spoken to her mother she hadn’t done so in ages and felt that it would be awkward. So she left the female to her own wanderings and her new mate. Every now and again she’d also catch drifts of scents that told her she had half-siblings wandering, but she’d never met them, they only had the blood of her long-gone father, and so she gave them their space as well.

So all in all… as previously stated Thunderbird wasn’t up to anything interesting, or really anything at all. That’s how she figured today would go as well. The hybrid was trotting around aimlessly, her tail swishing to and fro behind her in a nonchalant manner. That’s when she caught the familiar scent. There wasn’t any mistaking it, not even after all this time. Thunderbird followed it to Traydon River, her heart rate speeding up as it became stronger, inevitably reaffirming that the trail was fresh. Then his figure came into the distance, and without even thinking she gave a short howl followed by an excited bark. “Michangel?!” Was it really him or had her seclusion finally won over her mind?
