The Plains
Major battles may often take place in this land.

His first attack, the slice of horn against side, leaves Max only slightly satisfied. He is not ready to rest, for the battle is no where near complete. The arena purrs in satisfaction at the blood-spilled against its dirty, dark sands. He tried to move when Wardance came down towards him with hooves outspread, ready to attack. He does manage to move slightly, his short little flitter of wings bringing him forward, leaving his dock still vulnerable. Wardance’s hoof (only one, for he does manage to get himself slightly off-center with the man) breaks the base of his tail, and he feels his lips part. He no longer can move his tail, but this is the least of his worries. While he did use it for a fleeting amount of balance, he will survive without it.
Max watches Wardance warily, unable to change the course of the battle. Even as the horned-beast charges, Max attemps to flap his wings and gain some altitude. He does feel the reverberating sound of horn hitting hoof, but he is happy when his leg just moves back with the pressure, pulling the muscles in his shoulder and undoubtedly straining his ligaments. Still, his leg does not seem to be broken. It does not seem to even hurt that much (but he is in midair after all). He is quick to close his own wings, aiming his forelegs to hit along his opponent’s shoulder. His body is angled slightly, so his stomach and hips stay mostly out of range of horn.
When his opponent lands, he flicks his wings open only fractions in order to adjust his angle. It takes a great deal of strength, and he vows to never let himself have wings again, but he does manage to get himself above Wardance where he plummets his hooves towards his opponent. The time Wardance touches the ground to the time Max is within range of making contact is a fraction of a second. He is sure Wardance will move, but hopefully not enough. He attempts then to snap his wings open, but he feels them break from the speed and pressure against them. Max finds himself landing hard on the ground, and his already wounded leg snaps from the pressure. He has one more attack though, and he throws himself bodily towards Wardance, using his broken leg (Though it flops with each stride) to move forward. He flings himself at the other stallion, pushing into a semi rear and using his one good leg to strike towards wardance’s legs, his other one flopping needlessly. The break pushed bone through skin, and he concludes his attack with a collapse to the ground.
An aura surrounds him as he is taken away and Wardance is victorious, but injured.
Max managed, shockingly, to break your back. You have been patched up, but there is serious nerve damage and the point of your spine has been broken off. You will not have this injury during the magic round unless you fail to heal yourself. However, you can heal all your wounds permanently for the magic round and the healing will last throughout your life. Good battle.
