The Plains

Major battles may often take place in this land.

I guess it's not easy doing nothing at all,

She lunges out almost blindly for Wardance, and as she loses herself swirling about the water, she is confused and begins to panic when she begins to find herself having difficulty breathing. She gasps for air and even as she launches herself from the water she finds no solid mass to grip onto with her teeth. Since she is already rocketing herself out of the water and transforming again only seconds after coming down on Wardance, she is not suffocated to the point of completely losing oxygen, but his counterattack is effective in taking care of himself. Since he was not there for her to bite, she did not get the satisfaction of her teeth going through his flesh. She hopes he had exerted himself, and perhaps had grown disoriented as the water (with him floating in it) evaporated.

As she flies away, she sucks in deep breaths, and it as she flies off, she feels rather lightheaded. The dizzying rush of the water orb had taken something out of her, and the brief moments of struggling for air were cause for recovery time. The eyes on her hind end keep watch on Wardance to see what he will do now that the water has gone. Sempra suspects he will not simply remain a splattering of strangled algae on the ground. Her diamond defense shield was just a precaution, as she was not sure if he would still go after her… the lines of counterattack and defense were sometimes blurred. Still, she is grateful that he seems to be satisfied with his counterattack, because it gives her the time to get her breath back, and remind herself how to use her lungs.

She has been shifting so much her head is spinning so she elects to remain in her current form. She retains the diamond shield, if for no other reason than she enjoys the way the light glints off of it. She hovers in the air until she has regained her strength and is breathing steadily once again, then turns back to find Wardance with her real eyes. She has been putting on quite a show with dramatic shape shifting and so for this attack she goes for simplicity (or at least she feigns it).

There is no showy teleportation or dramatic electric currents this time. She simply uses her wings for what they were intended: flying, and makes her way to Wardance. If he chooses to teleport away, of course she will follow him, but she moves steadily forward with a simple approach, the same way she would have flown at her opponent in the last battle. She doesn’t expect him to not be suspicious by her approach, but she simply flies toward him without using any tricks.

Sempra had always been a fan of faking an attack several times before landing the real one, just to throw an opponent off guard. This time, she flies straight toward Wardance and when she is just close enough that she might slam into him, she ducks away, as though it had been a fake attack all along. She makes no move to lash out at him with her teeth or her legs, but when she is still just inches from him, she explodes.

The explosion is dramatic and fiery, and is comparable to if the white mare had set a bomb off right next to her opponent. She has ensured, of course, that this explosion will not damage her in the slightest, even though she is reduced to a cloud of smoke and flames for a minute or two. As the smoke begins to dissipate, the form of a horse becomes faintly evident in the cloud, and she bursts away from Wardance, still in the form of a horse shaped smoke monster, and billows toward the crowd, enveloping them in a blinding cloud of smoke. Finally she leaves them and the smoke fades into the wind. Soft laughter can be heard along the wind as Sempra becomes part of it, and then slowly she regains her solid form (diamonds, wings and all) and exuberantly performs a sequence of barrel rolls through the air.
