Any other filmmakers out there feel they would benefit from broader exposure for their short films once they’ve exhausted the film festival circuit? You know, the ones gathering dust on a shelf somewhere in an office or studio. And what if you could add a 10-second, self-promo, lead-in trailer? And what if the cost for all this was about the average submission fee for one film festival but far less than the total expense of submitting and promoting a film at a film festival?
Right now I’m just trying to determine how many other filmmakers would submit their short films for this type of national exposure in weeklong events around the country. BTW, this is NOT distribution, nor does it replace the cachet and prestige of film festivals.
But if enough short filmmakers are interested, our films could be viewed at thousands of venues over the course of a year for a fraction of what it would cost to market it through traditional means.
