The brute moved sluggishly through the land, he didn't know why but he was heading towards the direction of his old den. Maybe there was some part of him that still believed that he was a pup, returning from that last hunting mission, and that his father would be waiting for him- and that he would be proud of the two rabbits Hayazo had caught. Maybe if he closed his eyes and wished really hard.. You idiot. Of course he's not there.. Wishing won't do anything except make your heart ache. he scolded himself mentally. Shaking his head, he approached the riverbank, laying down and putting his head on his paws and snorting.

"I'm pathetic," the brute said, rolling onto his back. Lucky for him his ears happened to catch the sound of a voice, carried on the breeze. He rolled back over, lifting up his head and looking around. All thoughts of his 'family' and everything else vanished from his mind as he spotted an old friend and his mythical down on the bank. Hayazo watched as Aska dove into the water, his blue eye shining bright while his other blind one just gleamed dully. The grey and white speckled brute ran towards the pair, his tail waving happily.

"Elias! Aska! he called, stopping short of the pair on the other side of the bank. Suddenly he was overcome with an intense feeling of dread, however. While he was out doing his own thing he had more or less just left the two here. Though he had needed time to think, maybe he should have come back to check on them.. Exactly what your father did. Abandoned- the little tiny voice in his head said, but Hayazo silenced it with a growl and a shake. "I'm nothing like my father," he muttered to himself, before making his way across the river.
