In a human-controlled world, the unlikely has happened. Another species has discovered a human free haven. Which species? Horses.

For the first time in many years, wild horses may live in peace, without being interfered with by humans. And by wild horses, I don't mean just mustangs. Other breeds, such as Hanoverians, Thoroughbreds, and Lipizzaners have escaped from their human owners and discovered this place too.

The horses' haven is not meant for humans. But there are other threats in this new place. Without vets, horses that have been bred for speed and not hardiness succumb to sickness. Without farriers, horses that have been bred for intelligence and not hardness of hoof become lame. Will the new herds survive?
