Jetwing cursed himself mildly. "Why, oh, why..." he muttered to himself. Liberty, with slightly worried eyes, watched as the hawk approached them. She laughed nervously and started to back away, until Etu greeted her and her brother with a friendly tone. "Oh, um...hi," the eagle returned the greeting. Jetwing, who also started to assume that the hawk wasn't hostile, said simply, "We're just resting here, if you don't mind. We've been flying for a while." He then smiled a bit to show friendliness.

Meanwhile, Citrina and Divinus realized that they couldn't see the younger Eastern Imperial Eagles. "Divinus, where are they?!" the female said, ready to panic. "Calm down, dear. They went that way, so perhaps we'll find them. Now, stop hyperventilating," Divinus answered, pointing his beak in the direction that Liberty and Jetwing took. The mother bird took a deep breath and nodded as she began to track down her children, who, in fact, weren't very far away at all. Sure, they were out of sight, but that didn't matter in a dense wood. If the parents knew, they could've called out, and Liberty and Jetwing would've heard them.

The younger avians, who decided that they were on friendly terms with the red-tailed hawk, chose to introduce themselves. "My name's Jetwing, and this is my sister, Liberty," the rather hyper bird said. "What's your name?" Liberty asked the hawk, tilting her head.
