Re(1): adaptogens for high cortisol

Hi Justin,

Acerola cherry will not adversely affect the Candida.

To fight the Candida what you need to do is to restore your flora that generate acids that control the Candida. Building up the flora is achieved with probiotics such as kefir and other cultured foods as well as prebiotics, which are more important for the long term.

Candida thrives in an alkaline environment so it is also important to avoid things such as calcium carbonate, magnesium oxide and alkaline waters.

As for the cortisol issue you are on the right track with the acerola cherry and rosehips. Don't forget pantothenic acid sources also to support the adrenals such as pollen, seaweeds, nettle leaf, etc.

As for adaptogens in your case your best choices would be Chinese licorice root (G. uralensis) and ashwagandha, which are both calming.
