Hollowpoint was getting acclamated with his new home by taking daily treks around the area, discovering this area and that, the areas one would overlook at first glance. He counted it a rather high priority, though in secret he enjoyed the time alone. He was engrossed in the process and almost didn't notice the unfamiliar scent on the wind and the form on the horizon. He almost tripped across her standing serenly in the twilight of the setting day.
He pulled up hard and steadied himself as he cleared his head of all the thoughts which had been swirling around there in during his jaunt. He realized she smelled of Evolutional, the third he had met only breifly, and realized this must have been the woman he had refered to. She seemed so introspective he hated to interrupt her thoughts, but at this hour he didn't want to leave anyone alone. The desert was a different place a night.
He cleared his throat and then spoke in a soft voice, "The stars are spectacular tonight, aren't they?" It was still somewhat light out, but the celestial beings were already beginning to appear. He had always liked stars, they made him feel so small. "I don't belive we've met, Hollowpoint's the name. And yours?" He was fairly sure her name was Elvira, but it was more polite to ask than to assume.
Silently he wondered what had driven her all the way out here with nothing but the dry shrub to speak to, but she would tell him if she had a mind to. And if she didn't he would understand that as well.
