Ice Mountain

The Ice Mountain is much smaller than Wolf Mountain, yet climbing up it is far more difficult and shouldn't be attempted in winter. Some creatures collect the shiny stones at the peak of this mountain for necklaces.

Starchaser was stupid. That was the only reason for her attempting to climb the mountain today. It was cold, unbelievably so. And, while her coat was thick, it didn't lessen the feeling all that much. After so long gone, why did she come back? And why was she here, now, taking on the cold for nothing? She supposed it was because she felt alone. Things hadn't gone at all as planed in her life, and she had no one to blame but herself. She had been so naive, so trusting of those who really didn't deserve that trust. But, that's the folly of youth. Nowadays, things were a little different. She was almost a completely different wolf.

She picked her way up, her lithe, agile frame making the trek easy. her pelt gleamed in the light, the silver coming off almost white, glimmering. She came to a halt for a moment, taking in her surroundings. She had no idea where she was going, but the desire to just come here, for something had been too much to ignore. That's when she caught it on the wind. A scent. An all too familiar scent. A scent she hadn't really expected to catch here, of all places. Star wavered, unsure. Things between her and Tycoon were.. difficult, to say the least. It had never been love, at least not on his part. She, foolish as he had been in those days, went along with him, did as he asked. Because she knew no different, she didn't know any better. But.. had it been love on her part? She couldn't answer that. Not right now. But, she could follow that scent. And with some hesitation, she did.

She had picked up the growl before she actually saw him. Her ears flattened against her skull, and a soft whine escaped her throat. This had been a mistake. Could she still turn and flee before he noticed her? Somehow that seemed unlikely. Star was at odds with herself. He looked terrible, to be sure, and she wanted to help, if he'd allow it. So, she simply stood there, in some sort of frozen shock. After all this time, to stumble upon him now.. Fate surely hated her. She shook her head and looked around to make sure they were alone. And then she drew closer to him, just a few steps, still maintaining a good distance. "Tycoon..?" was all she could manage to say. Her head as tilted to the side, ever so slightly and her gaze studied him. Questioning. Hoping.
