Ice Mountain

The Ice Mountain is much smaller than Wolf Mountain, yet climbing up it is far more difficult and shouldn't be attempted in winter. Some creatures collect the shiny stones at the peak of this mountain for necklaces.

As unfortunate as it was, the answer was "not likely." Tycoon had a nasty habit of twisting things around. The irony was he often twisted it in such a manner that the outcome was more detrimental for him than anything else. Why wouldn't he just accept help? It would make sense. After all he knew just how pitiful he'd truly become. He knew he didn't function well on his own. He knew he was lonely. Yet here he was nearly ripping off StarChaser's head when all she was doing was trying to be kind; as so few wasted the time or energy on when it came to him.

"Me?" Of course it wasn't him. It was never him. It was everyone else's but his own. Pfft, what a load of horse crap. "If you expected me to change then you shouldn't have been with me in the first place." Tycoon had never intended on becoming something else. Why had Star ever loved him? If love was what you could have called it. "Why then? Why did you become my mate? Why did you bear my offspring -- if you truly loathed what I was?" The mangy black wolf gave a huff and shook his head. "Never mind. Don't even bother to answer that. If you truly desired to suffer so much that you did so then you deserved to suffer." Wasn't it fact in a way? At least in his mind. If StarChaser had known she was with someone who would make her miserable and simply wished for him to change then she'd been a fool and got what had been coming to her. There was probably more to it, but like hell if Tycoon would take the time to ponder on that.

Star should have run and forgotten it all. There were a lot of things she should have done, that Tycoon should have done, but life was never that easy or simple. When he heard her voice it caused the brute's ears to flatten. Yet even as the fur rose along his spine in an aggressive manner he couldn't but feel a surge of relief that she hadn't simply fled from him. Each step closer caused him to take a step to the side, until he'd finally turned to face her again. A mess. Yes he was a mess. A horrible, nasty, terrible mess. But she wouldn't leave him. And so that nagging question bit at the back of his mind again. Why? "Don't you have better things to do than bother me?" Tycoon was glaring just as the femme was afraid of. However the fire had died down, and there was something else in his expression besides fury. "Our children aren't dead." He wasn't entirely sure why he felt the need to say it, but he'd said it anyways. After heaving an aggravated sigh the male trotted closer to StarChaser, halting only once he was at her side. "What is it you want?" Not that he'd ever be selfless enough to grant another's wishes unless they matched his own. Tycoon snorted and dropped his head, hesitantly poking his muzzle beneath the female's own and giving a nudge upwards. "To fix me? Because if it's that put it out of your mind. It's impossible." Pieces were missing. Gone. Unlikely to ever be found again. "Whatever you want Star, if it's got to do with me you're a fool. Why haven't you ran? Why did you come back in the first place?"
