Hi Faith,

Brain fog can result from hypothyroidism or high serum calcium (hypercalcemia). Both of these can also cause muscle weakness.

Lab tests rarely pick up hypothyroidism so I recommend doing your basal body temperature for at least a week. There are instructions on the Thyroid Tonic informational page:

Hypercalcemia would require a blood test to confirm, which would include serum calcium and parathyroid hormone (PTH) levels.
