Bright Moon - a land sullied by mystery and the ravaging scars of a terrible fire. Abandoned as a pack land for years, the terra has been used as a gathering place for the brazen and bloodthirsty drawn there by the lingering pall of death. Yet from the ashes there comes an unordained phoenix, the rainbow hues of hope glinting in her mismatched globes. Through the obsidian drapes obscuring the scenery, she alone was able to catch the perfumed aroma of new life on the breeze and hear the sluggish streams flowing ever swifter into the morning.

Thus, with a purpose, she set out to map the incognita, discovering daily the extent of the reawakening and unearthing within herself a desire to return the landscape to its former glory. Now she stands tall as privileged Alpha of the lands, lording over the rock-strewn prairie and bountiful forests with a firm but gentle paw.

Having finally realized her deepest longing to be a queen, Satowra is focused solely on the revival and maintenance of the Bright Moon Pack. Her question to each prospective warrior that comes to the border is simple:

"Do you have what it takes?"

Her empty gaze left him no leeway to gauge what she may have been thinking as they marinated in that awkward silence between strangers before the statuesque forms broke in a tiny nod, and the air rang with her words. Her slim form captured the image of a lazing cat, stretching each muscle as he had just done until, supple and quietly eager; Skyscraper straightened up and bore her teeth in a yawn. If she was feeling at all uncomfortable in the clearing surrounded by wolves, she was doing a wonderful job of concealing it. Even he could not tell until the small smile that bore forth on her lips failed to reach her wary, distrustful hazel orbs. Omni upheld his easy demeanor in return, following her gaze to the downy blue-gray wolfess whom had arrived in her own style, soaking wet. “What’s her name?”

“Rainwhisper, I believe.”
the words were reflective, as the thought of the dancing names that he’d tried to pinpoint earlier provided him the answer. There was uniqueness to her name that had captured his interests almost immediately upon hearing it, as it coincided so aptly with her first appearance. “Come on, I know a great stream side place. It’s yet to be polluted, thank goodness.” With that invitation he bounded off from the slightly elevated plateau, altering course just in time to avoid hitting (and skidding quite ungracefully) into the log below him. The pace he set was comfortable, and he waited for her to catch up until they were sliding between the trees like wraiths parting through the thick cloak of darkness. Nighttime was an odd time of day to be convening for a meeting; it made the limbs sluggish and heavy, the mind protesting that sleep was imminent.

His long legs lengthened, silently taunting her to match them as he recognized the potential in her tall, lean form. Next to each other she even rivaled his height, which was saying something for the ivory stag had always been a good deal taller than his acquaintances. Her pale brown and white coat gleamed naturally in the burnt forest whose scant vegetation screamed its colors because after being suppressed for so long, having a voice had given them power.

“I think I smell someone.” He murmured uneasily to Skyscraper, shooting a piercing glance from his turquoise gazers lancing through the immediate forests around them. Twisted, spiny trees hid nothing without their leaves, black as the sky, so that the mass on the border was in plain sight as he lifted his head and let out a throaty bellow. Omni swallowed whatever reservations he had about fulfilling his duty as one, the watcher of Bright Moon while the hunting party was out, and as always their faithful delta. Trusting that his companion had seen the newcomer as well, he veered off course, picking up speed to run the fatigue from his limber form, whiskers slicked back by the cool wind that rushed past his thin face. In hardly any time at all, the brute was in front of him, carefully behind the border as society mandated that he should be, though his eyes were hardly downcast, should Omni have been the alpha or a high ranking official. Rather, the bulk in his being seemed to have given him a confidence that bore his head regally, multi-hued eyes, as one was shaded in an icy blue, silently daring his counterpart to argue his right to look the land over that he would soon be occupying.

Omni was by no means a large male. He was tall yes, with muscles honed from running until they were tight under his pelt. His build gave him endurance and speed, and this was what his fighting skills relied on. Appraisingly he scanned the thick bodice of the stranger and knew if it came to a fight, he didn’t have a chance in hell. Hopefully, it wouldn’t come to that. Slowing down upon approaching, the white wolf with his odd black sock blending in to the heavy gloom raised his banner to delta position, squared his shoulders, and met the mismatched stare with optics carefully wiped until they were emotionless as glass. If you asked him how such a feat was achieved he shrugged, murmured he did not know, that it was natural. But pain had given him the ability to do so, and pain would be his strength if these lands were ever threatened. Satowra, give me strength.

“You are on the borders of Bright Moon Pack, wolf. I am Omni Cader, Delta here. Submit if you wish to join, otherwise you’d best have a good reason for presenting yourself in this manner.” A challenger wouldn’t have just sat here, waiting for his summons to be received. They were usually cocky bastards, which led Omni to believe that it was only a newcomer after all. But one couldn’t be too careful. He didn’t remove his stare from that of the stranger’s, but he kept his ears upright listening for whatever actions Skyscraper might be making, hoping that she would not interfere with this crucial part of the joining process.
