Ducks, etc. Posted on October 27, 2011 at 01:48:53 AM by Nath Rockhill
Four species were busy in various parts of Grass Creek in Victoria Road at 5 p.m. 3 male and 4 female hooded mergansers joined the usual mallards at the bridge north of the village on KL35. Several black ducks (best guess: dark cap, medium brown face, yellowish bill, seemingly uniformly very dark body) were at the first bridge west of the village on Talbot River Road; and a brilliant wood duck male flew up from near the second bridge.
