seline is his sister, and he is proud to call her so. No blood of his would ever enter a fight and come out the loser. Theirs is a proud bloodline, one whose wolves do not bow down to authority nor do they admit defeat. Had Seline done so, Valiant would not take into account their closeness, the bond they share, how much he means to her -- he would abandon her, no matter how much it would kill him. But such is the way he learned and taught himself. He knows he will go down one day, because everyone does... but Valiant will not go down without a fight.
there is a small, proud smile on his otherwise stoic face as he strolls along the territory, exploring and occasionally even marking it. Not for simply him; this is not officially his place to do so -- but simply to prevent intruders while Seline is tending to her wounds. She is strong, and such petty injuries mean nothing. Vali knows that his ivory and crimson sister will be fine despite the blood which stains her pelt.
closely sniffing the ground, Valiant can smell the defined scents of each pack member. He knows that at some point Seline will call a pack meeting, where he will do his own part and rid this place of its scum. For every pack there is a weakling, of course, but he is a tough judge to please and even the weakest must be stronger than most. Perhaps not physically, but mentally. Valiant himself has been trained since the day his eyes opened and his limbs found their ground to not let anything tear him away from his goal, steer him in a different direction, or bring him down.
vali's keen nose wrinkles when a new smell infiltrates the old. A male, presumably, but he can't tell much more. Each scent is unique, but he cannot connect this particular one to any familiar wolf; therefore, this lupine is a stranger to Vali. Long, pale limbs extend themselves into a soft, nearly silent lope, his steps light over the storm-damp ground. As he runs, a howl breaks through the atmosphere, shattering the otherwise silent peace that once lingered. Valiant growls and picks up his pace, flying through the densely packed trees until he knows he is closer to where the newcomer... or newcomers are. One is a lanky gray and black male, perhaps a bit younger than Valiant himself. The other is a female, who is introducing herself as 'White Love'.
the ivory and crimson male slips from the shadows, his pale yellow gaze drifting with a cool intensity over the pair. There is a slight, amused smile on his handsome features. "tail down, love," he tells the female first, his husky tone playful enough but a growl lacing the words. His own tail lifts a fraction, his crimson ear twisting forward and his white ear splaying to the side, searching for any unidentified sounds in the eerie forest. "so long as you do not show blatant disrespect, submission is not required," he continues, and then looks at White Love sharply with one brow raised. "i am quite unsure as to what business a loner might have at a pack's borders other than the chance that he might want to join. loitering is a foolish thing to do and your message is equally as foolish."
his gaze softens slightly before he turns to the stranger and presses his haunches to the ground in a sit, his head cocked to the side lightly, in a childishly inquisitive manner. "now that the reprimands are finished, perhaps introductions are in order. i am Valiant, the alpha female Seline's older brother. while she is tending to the wounds of battle, i shall stand in for her leader position." He pauses, and then slowly asks, "and who might you be, stranger?"
