The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

All was quiet in the woods as she passed through, pale legs placed slowly and deliberately. The female was in no hurry as she made her way through scattered leaves and tree trunks bathed in twilight shades. Darkness was falling, the sun had slipped below the horizon, casting shadows of a smokey grey on Ti's golden back. She was aiming for no-where in particular, wandering without a direction in mind. Ever since she'd lost her pack in the blizzard, Tjikiju had tried and tried and tried to find them again. But it seemed she'd only moved further away and eventually, the she-wolf had just given up. There was nothing to it but to keep walking, perhaps she would find them again. Or, failing that, she could at least find some form of company.

With a soft sigh, Ti paused in her stride, taking a deep draught of the air around her. Various scents graced the air, but a few in particular caught the pale she-wolf's attention. It seemed she was near a pack, the smell of wolf was everywhere. There was male and female, young and old, strong and weak. She could also tell the state of the pack from the scents, such was the strength of a wolf's nose. And she smelt what she figured was a very, very recent change in leadership. If that was the case, it would be good for Tjikiju. Perhaps she could make a new start with a new leader, she wouldn't find herself in a pack that was more distrusting of strangers. This was a new opportunity, a good opportunity.

Allowing a smile to momentarily grace her features, the she-wolf took up a quick trot, quickly closing the distance between herself and the border. The smells strengthened as she got closer, but one in particular stood out. As she rounded a band of thick-trunked trees, Ti realized why. It seemed she wasn't the only one searching for a new home. A black and golden she-wolf was skulking near the border, apparently unaware of the company she was about to receive. Or maybe she was, for as Ti drew closer the other female drew back, trying to conceal herself behind some of the forest terrain.

Tilting her head to one side, Tjikiju focused with her good eye, watching the female as she approached. Stopping just short of the border, the she-wolf gave a short, sharp howl, a request of acceptance to let the pack know she was waiting. Then, with a half smile, she turned and gave a nod to her silent company. "You seem shy, friend. Why not come out, we face pack together, yes?" Her voice was thick, accented, as though she was used to a different tongue than the common one. Indeed, her northern home was so far from anything that they still had their own language.
