The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

I hide My Secrets in Water

Large paws hit the land, with no audible sounds. Dark blue orbs gaze through the pine forest. My brain box soaks in every little detail that can be gained, even as it stores all the scent upon the border. Too many it would look as if I am waiting to be accepted, to my family however; they would know I am planning. Learning the layout of the land, something that we drilled into each of our young. I had come to appraise the land, that Seline would no doubt win. After all her father and I had a large part in her training. Her father Saladin had once been my alpha and would always be my brother, I have always been my brother’s right hand wolf. Beta in our old lands, and his killer when it needed being done.
As I step into the lands, I hear the call of my niece. My own blood begins pounding through my body. Joyful in her victory, proud in her achievement, My paws begin to carry my body forward into the land. Though I am late arriving the meeting, detouring and quickly traveling the borders. Taking stock of what defenses this land had to offer, I still find myself wishing for home. The land that tested you every day, you had to prove your worth to survive.

My large white a crimson form should make me stand out in the forest, however it is clear I know how to hide. If any had glimpsed me most would chalk it up to hallucination. After all demons do not exist do they? Most would think me a passing phantasm or think of themselves crazy.

Once my recon is finished I head towards the call of my blood. I do not hurry, instead I adopt a moderate pace. Though I arrive in enough time to hear the tail end of a wolf being reprimanded. A silent smirk flashes across my face before flitting away. It is nice to know some things do not change. Before I enter the clearing my façade is wiped clean. My family would know I have my war mask on. Ready to do their bidding. I have always been loyal and willing to do anything for my family, no questions asked.

I step into the clearing, purposefully I had circled around to come sight and sound unheard behind the other non family members of this pack. A silent statement, one that most would be smart enough to catch onto. My eyes meet none of the other wolves other than Seline and Valiant, only wolves of my family. Once more a statement knowing none of the other wolves are even a threat to me, choosing to ignore them first and foremost to honor the two warriors that stand close together. I step through the clearing making my way past everyone.

My white coat full on display, the whole right side of my bodice is crimson, a large splash of crimson covering my right rib cage showing little of my thick white fur. My right hind limb is crimson from my toes to upper thigh, my face is spilt half and half. The right side crimson and the left a pure stark white. The spilt in color continuing along until my fur meets my shoulder blades. My war banner is white but flecked with the crimson, making it look almost spotted. My massive barrel chest hold three scars, scars that each family member gained once becoming a full warrior. My build is thick, though not over so, my height making my leaner, but looks can be deceiving.

My paws stop in front of my niece, my eyes meeting hers and letting her and Valiant see they joy radiating in my orbs. As soon as the brief glimpse is given in falls away. I stretch my maw forward, nuzzling first my new alpha and then my nephew. Stepping back I step to the other side of Seline. My eyes now meeting each and every wolf, accessing there strength and weaknesses. Some held promise others just looked appetizing. My voice rumbles out, low and deep, sounding similar to the pounding of a bass drum or rolling thunder over the plains.
“ Looks like we got our work cut out for us. This should be fun”
I allow a smirk to grace my features, as I offer my words to Seline. Looking forward to training these wolves to be the warriors they needed to be in order to survive in this pack.
