At our last retirees luncheon we met at the Golden Corral on 56th St. only to find out the boiler for the steam tables wasn't working, so they couldn't serve us. Gene Wren suggested a place on Busch Blvd. he had been to, so we made the move. Everyone who was in attendence thought the food was so much better than the old place we had an overwhelming majority vote to change locations. The new location is called Classic Homestyle Buffet loacated at 4115 E. Busch Blvd. Its across from the Busch Gardens parking lot, and for those of you who remember, its the old "Sea Wolf" building.
Although they don't have a private room for us, they will cordon off a corner of the dining area reserved for us. It worked last time. Monday is their slow day anyway. They open at 11:00 am so we will keep the meeting time the same. The price is the same as the old location, 6.99 and a free drink for seniors.
We'll give it another try for the Nov 28th luncheon. Your turkey should be gone by then. See you there!
