Blood pumped, rushed through her mind, chilled to her core. It was time. Time for her to die. She couldn't see straight, everything was blurry and hazy. She was running, faster, and faster, until she couldn't pump her muscles any faster. Her bright green and purple eyes shot everywhere franticly, looking for a way out. A way away from the horrible beast behind her. Chasing her. Taunting her with his evil chuckles and snide comments he shouted from behind her. She ran for what seemed like forever, never finding an end to the forest, running circles over and over again. Panting hard, she began to slip from reality, slip into a blackness she had met only once before. As she fell to the ground, she heard his laughter. He had finally caught her. As he did her mother.

Katherine awoke with a gasp to a sharp pain in her neck. Her eyes shot open quickly as she shot up off of the ground, heart still pounding. It was just a dream... She took a deep breath and looked at her brother beside her. With a sympathetic sigh, she nudged the littler lion softly.

"Come on, Nate. Time to get up now, sweetheart. Lets go. We've been here too long already." She smiled slightly and licked his cheek as she watched his groggy eyes open slowly as his mind processed what was going on.

Kate walked around, cleaning up every track and evidence they had left behind. There wasn't an actual monster chasing them, but they had left their home when their mother disappeared. So the two of them were on the run. Because they didn't know their father who was all of the sudden after them, and Katherine was afraid that their mother was killed. The nightmare that kept visiting her had to mean something. It just had to.

Nataio yawned as he slowly began to wake. His eyes slowly opened, revealing bright diamond blue eyes. He didn't look anything like his mother or father. He couldn't remember what either of them looked like, but his sister didn't know what their father looked like, and she always said he looked nothing like their mother. He was younger then Katherine and was treated like a baby by her, but that was perfectly fine with him. She could take care of him, and that was all he really cared about. His tail flicked lazily, another yawn escaping his maw. Nate's long fangs were more deadly than the average cub's were, though he looked no older then a two week old. Kate looked around two to four months old. He didn't quite know, but she looked older then him.

"How come we always have to leave, Katherine?" His words slurred because of the drowsiness. "I like it here, and I wanna stay!" Nate's whining had become worse and worse over the past couple days, because he was getting more and more hungry. Neither of the lions had ate for what seemed like forever in their minds. But there was no time to stop and hunt. Always on the move, on the run from an unknown danger.

"Because I know when somewhere is safe, and when it isn't. For us, nowhere is safe now. Enough said. Come on, I'ce packed some food I caught while you were sleeping. You can eat on the way." And then she was running. He had stumbled and fallen a couple of times before he caught up with her. The grogginess was gone and he was wide awake. They ran so they could cover more land and so they could get further in less time. He had grown accustomed to their daily routine, but never got over questioning why they did it. Familiar scents filled his nose, though he didn't know why. He ran faster, until the pair entered a field of long grass. His eyes widened as he skidded to a stop, looking around curiously. He then realized why he knew the scent. It was somewhat of the same scent that had clung to his mother often. Lifting his head, he let out a fierce roar loudly, calling for anyone, anyone to come find them and help them. Katherine cut him short.

"You can't do that!! They could hurt us!!" The two of them stood still, not moving a muscle, preparing for what might come next.

The outer territory is a field with long grasses, hills, and a few sparse trees. It is rather large and prey can be found here, though large herds tend to stick in the hunting grounds of the main Wolf Mountain.
