My my, wasn't this turning into a proper family gathering? Tjikiju found herself vastly outnumbered by these odd hued wolves, they just seemed to keep coming. While her keen ears had noticed that that first wolf had disappeared somewhere during the trek, her mismatched eyes stayed focused just below the Alpha's own as she listened closely. 'Welcome, stranger, to the new Andere Siete Pack.' Ti gave a smile and a nod at this, before listening to the she-wolf continue. 'As for the young of today.. yes, I agree with you friend - no respect.' She gave a small, knowing smile at that, noting the amused look in the Alpha's gaze before she pulled away. Yes, perhaps she would like it here...
Retiring to sit a little further away, careful not to encroach on the she-wolf's personal space, Ti took a moment to think about things. She was dissapointed in the timid wolf for not coming, but she realized it was for the best. This pack seemed like they had no room for undue fear or weakness, and while Tjikiju was a relatively kind hearted old lass, she could understand the reasoning behind it. She wasn't a fool, she could see how big this gathering was getting, see how popular this pack seemed to be, it wasn't going to be a phase or a quick idea. It wasn't going to fade into nothingness, like the elder had seen so many times before. It was going to grow and flourish, she was sure of it.
Returning her attention to the gathered pack, Ti was just in time to see a male wolf arrive, another one of those russet and ivory coated wolves. Obviously another family member, the way the pair greeted only confirmed that thought. She was close enough and had keen enough hearing to overhear their little interchange, though she kept her silence and allowed her gaze to wander elsewhere. Particularly across to the disrespectful youngster, digging herself a deeper hole with such brash words towards another male in the pack. It was fairly obvious she wasn't going to be around for long...
As Tjikiju mulled quietly over this thought, another wolf came on scene, stalking right up to the Alpha and rolling over in complete submittance. A smile graced the old girls' lips at this display, glad that not all had too much pride to throw themselves at the mercy of their leaders. Of course, Ti would have usually done something similar, but these days she found her reactions slower and her limbs stiffer, making being in such a position all the more risky. She would do so if she had no choice, but it wasn't as easy as it was once.
Ti returned her gaze to the Alpha, noting her actions and emotions with bright eyes. Of course, any Alpha would be glad of such utter trust and submission, it was only natural. With a twitch of her thick tail, she returned her gaze to the copper and gold she-wolf, noting the nasty looking scars across her odd-coloured eye, and throughout the rest of her form. The old wolf held back a private chuckle as she realized similarities twixt this wolf and herself. Life certainly could be harsh when she willed it....
Scenting another male wolf before she saw him, Ti would have raised an eyebrow if she could. Yet another pearl and strawberry combo, more green eyes and obvious ties. The she-wolf wondered with amusement if any more of these were going to turn up. She was going to have a harder time remembering who was who and who was related to who when there were so many of them. Though she soon noted that this older male was the Alpha's father, both through his words, his stance and his actions towards Seline. Mentally, she went through all the connections; alpha, father, brother, uncle perhaps sons and daughters also, she'd heard the alpha mention them to the uncle. This would be interesting....
Tilting her head slightly, Tjikiju heard the tired Alpha begin her speech, each sentence bringing fresh blood upon her muzzle. At the mention of 'Satanican', Ti wrinkled her nose momentarily, swiftly making the connection between that name and its'... rather less savoury connotations. Satanican appeared a name related to Satan, a word she'd often heard others use in reference to great evil. While Ti was indeed a loyal she-wolf, she did have a heart, one filled with little malice and a great amount of warm, almost motherly kindness. Shaking such thoughts out of her mind with a quick ruffle of her coat, Tjikiju knew she wouldn't leave, even with that knowledge. She was here now, and here she was going to stay.
As she was given permission to mingle and relax, the old she-wolf took a glance around her, watching how each and every wolf reacted and acted to the Alphas' words. She noted the hidden she-wolf as she revealed herself, as well as one that hadn't even hidden, simply ignored the leader's howl and arrived very, very late. Ti had smelt her on the way here, she knew the wolf was around in time to hear the howl. With a short shake of her skull, Ti gave a soft sigh, lowering herself to the ground to relax old bones and weary muscles. Her head was placed upon pale paws, angled slightly so that no wolf was hidden on her blind side. And there she sat, content to sit and watch and wait.
(( Really, really bad post, sorry. :( I'm pretty terrible posting in large group threads, I get lost too easily, and each time I refreshed the page, someone else had posted.... xD and my wrist hurts, but yeah, 'nuff excuse lol ))
