Bright Moon - a land sullied by mystery and the ravaging scars of a terrible fire. Abandoned as a pack land for years, the terra has been used as a gathering place for the brazen and bloodthirsty drawn there by the lingering pall of death. Yet from the ashes there comes an unordained phoenix, the rainbow hues of hope glinting in her mismatched globes. Through the obsidian drapes obscuring the scenery, she alone was able to catch the perfumed aroma of new life on the breeze and hear the sluggish streams flowing ever swifter into the morning.

Thus, with a purpose, she set out to map the incognita, discovering daily the extent of the reawakening and unearthing within herself a desire to return the landscape to its former glory. Now she stands tall as privileged Alpha of the lands, lording over the rock-strewn prairie and bountiful forests with a firm but gentle paw.

Having finally realized her deepest longing to be a queen, Satowra is focused solely on the revival and maintenance of the Bright Moon Pack. Her question to each prospective warrior that comes to the border is simple:

"Do you have what it takes?"

I watch the cub look from the beautiful blue sky overhead till her vulnerable gaze seeks my own. She offers a humble compliment and I smile softer in reply. Thanks. I answer back gently. My tail even offers a wave of good intentions, glad to see the cub loosening up, if only a little.

The young female then grows thoughtful as she looks around at everything and I can't help but tilt my head a little, wondering just what might be floating through her mind right about now. Was it something I said? She hasn't said anything about her mother since my comment. Did I say something wrong?

My smile falters a little as I wait for some kind of reaction from the cub. When she finally looks back in my direction, I notice that she won't quite meet my gaze. Rather she stays right below it as if unable to meet my eyes. I must have done something wrong. My ears fold back uncertainly, an almost inaudible whimper dripping from my lips. I certainly didn't mean to hurt her feelings or anything by what I said. I'm sorry if I said something wrong. It falls like a soft plea from my lips.

At her next words of impatience, I can't help but smile a bit, remembering well when I used to be so impatient about knowing what was in store for me. Now I have no clue what my future might hold but what I do know is that its got to be better than the past I'm leaving behind.

My eyes soften as she moves to lie down, noticing that she tries to keep as much weight off of her broken leg as possible. I'm sure she must be in a great amount of pain yet she keeps a brave face through it all. She lays her head down onto her paws and looks at me, asking another earnest question. I smile a bit more at this, thinking of Raylen and the warm way he welcomed me to Bright Moon. I nod slowly, sitting down as I'm about to answer.

Right about then my ears flicker, hearing the sounds of approaching paws. Turning my delicate muzzle, golden eyes widen in surprise and barely concealed relief when none other than the golden boy steps out of the forest and into the clearing. A small smile of welcome etches across my lips, glad that its him that approached instead of a stranger from the pack that I wouldn't know how to talk to.

He pauses as if considering before tilting his head in my direction, his bright blues curious as he repeats Journey's question. My mouth gapes for a moment, wondering whether to answer to breathe but finally I regain my composure as I gulp slightly and let my ears flicker back in uncertainty. I...I do like being in a pack. There's a feeling of never being alone, of always having a friend there. A pack is security. I find myself looking more at the ground as I respond, eyes narrowing in thought as I remember back when a pack meant family to me, more than just security. Of course, that was back when I was whole and happy.

I can see the half cocked amusement in his face and it almost disorients me. The last and first time I met him, I got to see a few sides of him: caring, kind, soft, even understanding, but I didn't get to see this side. Is he always like this? I kind of like the smiling amused Raylen.

He glances toward Journey and I follow his gaze, wondering what he's thinking as he looks at her. Hopefully he thinks of her as a good potential member. Surely he wouldn't turn a wounded cub away right? At least from the first impression I got of him, he wouldn't.

He speaks slowly, introducing himself and I can see that he means no harm from his gentle tone. My lips pull tighter into a smile as a new light scratches at the surface in my eyes. As he starts considering where to take her, I prick my ears, fully ready to help should he ask me to. He asks her if it hurts to move and I glance toward her with concern. I'm not quite sure what I've gotten myself into just yet but I'm ready to stick it out....I think so, anyway.
