Ice Mountain

The Ice Mountain is much smaller than Wolf Mountain, yet climbing up it is far more difficult and shouldn't be attempted in winter. Some creatures collect the shiny stones at the peak of this mountain for necklaces.

Strider watched as he was first approached by his mate. The golden and brown brute touched his nose to her head by way of greeting, and a genuine smile forming on his maw when she led some of their children back safely. Now he wasn’t that worried anymore; he knew Ashe and Fyra were safe, so that meant only Achilles and Robin had yet to turn up. Achilles was well able to take care of himself, wheras Robin had Redemption. All was well. The brute stiffened his slightly chilled paws in the snow, scraping the ice away a little to reveal some grass where he was standing. Winter was on its way, and he knew that the advantage of snow having been melted had gone.

Next to turn up was Pitseleh, and this gravely concerned Strider. He didn’t know the wolf all that well, but he cared for every member in his pack. He sniffed the air, approaching the fallen brute as he fell roughly from the sky. The alpha male trotted quickly and surely across the snow to his fallen comrade, and examined Pitseleh, a look of caution in his eyes. You’re hurt. he noted, scanning his dual coloured eyes over the split flank, and the mangled limb that looked to be broken. As soon as Redemption arrived, Strider would send Pitseleh back to the pack. He was in no fit state to continue; probably not even well enough after healing to continue in the war.

Tadashi and Makurayami arrived, and to them he gave a grade nod each. But still, he stood not at the highest point for the meeting but standing above Pitseleh. Eventually, he was allowed to breath again as Achilles and Robin came, Redemption in tow. He noted neither of the three were hurt; Achilles looked very breathless, with a ripped ear, but that was all. One look to Redemption was all he needed to tell her to take Pitseleh back.

Redemption slipped over silently, scooping up Pitseleh in her talons; being careful not to spike him in any way. She lifted off gracefully, and gently, and flew back to Fire Pack with the wolf.

Strider watched the dragon fly away, and then returned to his spot at the small mound. He addressed the few that had turned up. I don’t know what the alphess of Ice wants, and have yet to speak with Rue about if we’re even going to turn up to meet her, but it was time for a rest anyway. Regain your strength; and if any injured turn up we shall send them to Fire. his daughter took a step forward, a pained look in her eyes. Hardly anyone is here. May I have permission to go back for them? Strider looked down at the scout novie. Yes. he’d barely answered before Robin took off on feathered wings, anxious to bring back the stragglers.
