Craven was frankly unimpressed by the she wolves attitude. This heathen evidently had a very high opinion of herself. He'd have liked to take the time to give her a slow, painful death, but he must remained focused on the task at hand- find Sparrowhawk, and destroy him. His petty bloodlust could be satisfied later.
He didn't know what the creature with her was, either, but as the High Priest he wasn't easily startled. There were far worse things out there than this fey and her little pet, and Craven had seen some of them. One, he served.
He cast a scathing look at the fey, then returned to the trail, his scarred muzzle questing in the grass, searching for his preys scent. It was faint, dispersed by the dew, but it was there. His eyes gleamed with the joy of the hunt, and he set off at a prowl, fur bristling, brow furrowed in concentration.
Sure, her abilities where impressive- he was still curious about how she blended in like that- but right now the pressing priority was finding the traitor and ripping his throat out, to show that no-one, NO-ONE, escaped the wrath of the Dark Gods. He could investigate further when his job was done.
For now, he banished it from his mind and headed downriver, away from the irritating fey, towards the soon-to-die. Already, Craven was planning how he would bring the cowards head back to the temple, as a final indiciation of the Faceless One's power. As if any was needed. He snorted and shook his head, a grin appearing on his maw- had the little idiot actually ever thought he had a chance? His little birdy friends wouldn't save his worthless hide this time. He was all alone.
And perhaps once that job was done, Craven would set about converting some of these savages. Either that, or set about slaughtering them. Both were equally good in Craven's estimation.
