The wing beats of a black dragon were not far behind Courant. Landing in the jungle was tricky, but the night fury managed by simply dropping cannonball style through the canopy and flaring her wings open to catch her before she hit ground. As her first claw touched the ground, it formed itself into a black hoof and the transformation spread quickly up so that by the time all four legs were on the ground, the black dragon had become the gray mare with the long black accents. Offering a deferential nod of her head to Courant, she made eye contact with the Godess, trying to communicate that she remembered there was a reward in all this for her. Perhaps in front of everyone would not be the appropriate time to give it, or at least not with any pomp or speech. But Pri would have her reward eventually. Yet, she also found herself liking the water goddess. Courant, Galadriel, and Altus had all been kind to her. It was nice to know there was such a thing as a kind God in this world.
Listening to the bits of speech that went around, Pri waited to add her own two cents until there was a nice pause in conversation. “I disagree with the nomination of Sasha. The Valkyries need to evolve, need to become a mix of new and old if we want to flourish in the new world we are being presented with. Why not someone new, someone who may just need a chance to prove herself worthy of leadership? By making Sasha our queen we would only be stagnating in the past. I do not know who to nominate for I know very few of you, but perhaps my words will lead to a better nomination choice?” Poor Pri, always destined to speak her mind. She did not know whether she and Sasha would be enemies or not, it remained to be seen whether the dark mare thought of Pri as strong and opinionated or simply a usurper. It could, of course, be noted that Pri’s suggestions could also have fit her own personality, but she had no thought of making an argument to nominate herself. She may have been the one to gather the Valkyries at Courant’s behest and get them all this far, but she knew she was still an outsider. No one voted for the outsiders.
