aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

Vela watched as another femme entered the clearing, one that was unfamiliar to the black huntress with her ginger pelt. The new pack member went straight to Sin, who obviously must have been the one to welcome her into the pack. Hazel gaze went to Sin as she gazed over the fea that entered earlier, a timid looking girl, who Sin greeted with a welcome into the pack. Her slight anger disappeared now. Another fellow member and would be considered here as both pack and family. When Cry Of Freedom arrived, Sin gave a deep bow to him before her flag goes to alpha position. The shadow colored goddess tail began to wag even before Sin confirmed her thoughts with words. Sin as alpha? Hell to the yes, the Iota already trusted the femme and knew what Sin would expect in a pack. Twin towers came forth as she still listened to her vocals that filled the air. Freedom was leaving, something about staying for awhile and then traveling. Ranks wouldn’t change, so she would still be Iota female of the pack. Capo, her foster mother was losing her rank due to absence. The lass wondered where the similar coated black fea had gone. She didn’t ponder over it for long, for Sin concluded with that Freedom was to be treated with respect until he left. How long was the past alpha staying? Why was he leaving at all, surely he could stay like Akina did? Oh well, Vela wasn’t going to pry into anyone’s business unless she felt the need to do so. This wasn’t one of those times. If anyone tried to challenge Sin, well that was a different story, she would be an obstacle in that path for anyone who tried something so stupid.

Four new scents catch her detector, and she looked to the new wolves entering the clearing, Saydin’s and Mimic’s long lost siblings that Athena had taken with her. Hazel jewels watched as they made their way to Saydin and Mimic, who greeted them in varying ways. Saydin flicked her ears in their direction as a shy smile graced her maw. Mimic gave them a slight dip of his head, and said a hey that she could hear due to her slight nearness. The Iota figured the teens would talk after the meeting, after all she would if she was still getting used to meeting her family. Their new alphess spoke again, causing her attention to go to where she stood once again. She wanted them to announce their names and rank, mainly for the benefit of the new wolves. The scent of fear, blood, and ravens had her looking to the edge of the clearing where a small figure was making his entrance. Poor thing, his small puppy form shot straight for Freedom, where he took shelter for just a few moments before coming back out. It was slightly funny at how Freedom tenses up, probably thinking something was about to rip his stomach open before he looked down to see who it was. He came closer to Sin, which meant her as well and she just wanted to comfort him. His ivory and crimson figure held small wounds that were bleeding, from the thorns and possibly the ravens.

As he stopped before the rock, with his banner between his legs he began to stammer out words. Darth was his name, Freedom gave him access into the lands and after he was attacked by ravens. That would explain the scent. Then he asks Sin if he could still join. Her heart went out to the little guy. Another wolf graced them with her appearance, another one that she didn’t know who must be new. She comes up to Sin, which made Vela keep her orbs on the other huntress as she spoke saying who she was. The Queen would know who she was, she may be blind, but she wasn’t death or scentless. Still, if Rushing Water would have looked towards her, she would of given a polite smile, after all she was a fellow member. Movement took her orbs to Freedom as he made his exit out of the clearing, brushing against Akina as he left, a gesture that the past Queen returned as she leaned into him. She just knew he was out of the pack’s life now too. When he gave a last nod at everyone, she returned it with her own nod one that was low to show respect.

Before he made it far, Akina’s voice called out to him to ask him not to go. The younger huntress’s heart went out to her, even though she had never been in this kind of situation before.

Should she step forward and address herself? After all Sin had announced her name and rank already. Oh well, wouldn’t hurt to do it again. Facing the other members, she found her maw parting to let her melody fill the air.

I’m Vela, Iota.

Glancing to Sin, she wanted the older femme to know how glad she was the alpha. Why not now? So, she bowed her head down low, and allowed her front limbs to lower as well so she could give a deep bow of respect and acknowledgement. Once seated back in her original position, she looked to Akina wondering how her friend was holding up. With Titan back and Freedom leaving, well it must be stressful and that wasn’t including the little ones. Would Vela’s presence be welcoming at this point? Sure there was Titan there, but it wasn’t the same as talking to a female or the comfort. Sin would probably be the best one for that, but she had to deal with the pack first. Vela just wanted Akina to be happy again, carefree and happy, almost like she was when being the alpha. Then a familiar scent, well slightly familiar, caught her attention as she looked around the clearing for a small form. It had to be one of Akina’s and Cry of Freedom’s pups in the clearing. The ebony goddess had been to the den before to deliver food for their mother after all. Hazel lampages finally caught her form in sight when she came slightly out to be beside Sin. Waiting for Sin’s reaction, she waited to see if she should bring the pup to Akina. It was cute though, how she was obviously showing she wanted Darth to join the pack.
