Tenebrae, almost, smiled. Not quite; her smile was secreted like a precious metal, and only brought out very occasionally indeed, certainly not so often as her one friend would like. Brom hadn't made her feel better about those old scars; the guilt and sorrow was still deeply imbedded in the feys pysche and heart. But, for the moment, she felt as close to cheerful as she was ever going to get, for the present at any rate.

"Packs? I think not." Tenebrae was far too fond of her own mind to join a pack and bow to an alpha, besides which the thought of living in close proximity with so many people was enough to make her feel vaguely sick. She was most definetely a hermit- people in general irritated her. Even those she loved, Amado and
Miyuki, she didn't spend too much time with. A few days was the most she could possibly spend in the company of anybody before she'd slip away again. A pack would drive her insane- she'd end up ripping somebodies ear off or something. Brom, she observed, would have no such pyschopathic tendencies.

"Couldn't cope with people." was her short answer. A fish leapt in the water, and she took a step back to be certain she wouldn't get splashed. Water. Urgh. She hated the stuff. Still water she could live with, so long as she wasn't expected to swim- but fast flowing water unnerved her. The young fey had a terror of drowning.

It didn't help being able to see it as well. This new sense she was equipped with rattled Tenebrae- she shut her bright green eyes, and straight away felt easier in herself.

"That's better." she commented, turning to face Brom again. Being blind meant she was accustomed to this, and new exactly were everything was without looking. The riverbank suddenly seemed safe, familiar, instead of an alien landscape. She let out a comforted sigh.
